… and why I prefer the latter

Every year, when most people are choosing their New Year’s Resolutions, I do something a little bit different… I set a theme for the year. My theme for 2019, which I set at the beginning of the year, is GIVE, GROW, GROUND … and, boy, let me tell you… this year has been full of ALL OF THAT!

GIVE has always been easy for me. I thrive on giving whatever I can to whomever I can… be it money, items, time, compassion, a safe place to land… you name it, if I have it to give, it’s all yours!

GROW… I’ve had years where I’ve grown tremendously, and others when I’ve been more stagnant. This year is blowing the doors off of any year I can remember! I have grown exponentially … more deeply into myself… and have discovered that I possess some gifts I was unaware of. I am having my best days ever as I lean in and learn more about them.

GROUND… at the beginning of the year I joined a meditation group (Practicing the Power of 8), and have added daily meditation to my routine. Even on days when I can’t attend P8, I do some form of meditation or grounding. I’ve added in Shamanic Drumming to my repertoire which has been a lot of fun.

I love my theme for 2019. When I set it, I had no idea it would be so profound. But because it was set with the purest of intentions, I am being guided to fulfill it.
